Zed joined BD in November 2009 in the Handy Lab acquisition as a Molecular Sales Specialist. In 2012, Zed took on the role as DS Sales Trainer for Molecular and Women’s Health and Cancer products. In 2014, he transitioned into the role of Manager for the Molecular Applications Specialists. After a business unit reorganization in Oct 2015, Zed took on the role of Regional Service Manager for the South Central where he has been serving ever since.
In 2011, as a Molecular Sales Specialist, Zed was honored to win both the President’s Club and Winner’s Circle Awards. Just this year, Zed was awarded the Jeffrey T. Sherman Life Changers Award for his charitable and humanitarian efforts in his community.
Zed has a BS in Biology from Cameron University in Lawton, OK. Upon graduation, Zed was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army and served on active duty for 12 years. He resigned in 2000 as a Major. After completing his Army career, Zed put his degree to good work and joined Fisher Scientific in Atlanta. Zed has also worked for Cepheid, Invitrogen/Life Technologies and HandyLab.
Zed currently resides in Kingwood, TX with his wife, and the love of his life for twenty-five years, Rose Marie. They have 2 children, Nathaniel & Ashlin, who are both students at the University of Oklahoma – BOOMER SOONER! They have an Airedale Terrier named Maxine that is helping them adjust to being first year empty nesters. When Zed is not working, he volunteers to support charitable organizations through his church and in his community. He also enjoys practicing & playing golf and has been able to play in the US Senior Open qualifying events the past couple of years. He has a goal of someday qualifying to play in the US Senior Open & US Amateur tournaments.
