1:30 PM Track A: Field Service Readiness: Improving Uptime and Compliance

Medical device field service teams face constant pressure to stay audit-ready while minimizing downtime and keeping technicians productive. Managing calibration schedules, tool availability, and logistics across a distributed workforce can quickly become a bottleneck.

In this session, we'll explore a real-world case study from a leading medical device manufacturer that addressed these challenges using the SIMCO Calibrated Asset & Readiness Exchange (C.A.R.E.) package. You'll learn how the organization improved field service readiness and compliance without increasing inventory or adding administrative burden for Field Service Engineers.

Attendees will learn:
  • How proactive toolkit exchanges helped maintain uninterrupted field service operations, even in high-demand environments
  • The compliance approach that ensured all tools met industry standards with fully traceable, audit-ready calibration records
  • Inventory optimization practices that reduced excess equipment while maintaining service readiness
  • Key logistics lessons that allowed Field Service Engineers to stay focused on service delivery rather than tool management
This session is designed for field service leaders and operations teams looking for practical, proven approaches to improving readiness, compliance, and efficiency in medical device service environments.
