10:20 AM Panel: Building the Workforce Pipeline: Veterans, Trades, K 12, and New Paths into Field Service

With retirements accelerating and demand for skilled field talent rising, many service organizations are realizing they can't simply hire from competitors forever. This panel brings together leaders who are building multi channel pipelines—tapping veterans' technical and leadership skills, partnering with trade schools and apprenticeship programs, and engaging K 12 and community colleges to introduce field service as a modern, tech forward career. Panelists will share how they position service roles to veterans and students, translate military and vocational experience into clear entry steps, and structure partnerships with schools, the military, and workforce boards so efforts scale beyond one off campus visits. Attendees will leave with practical ideas, funding and partnership models they can use to build their own long term workforce pipeline
Key discussion includes:
  • Explore proven channels for sourcing higher caliber talent.
  • Learn how to position service careers to veterans and students.
  • Partner with schools, the military, and trade programs at scale

This mastermind session gathers leaders who are redesigning training around measurable outcomes—tying programs to specific field KPIs such as first time fix, incident rates, and attach/upsell—and treating their training function as a main driver to improve service performance. Participants will explore how to blend formal courses with peer to peer coaching, on the job practice, and knowledge transfer tools, and combining data so they can demonstrate how learning changes behaviors and drives safety, quality, and revenue over time. Blend formal learning with peer to peer and on the job.

Key takeaways include:
